Bandung has a lot of local delicacies and culinary uniqueness. Some of them are traditional, but many are the results of local 'experiment'. One of the example that came from an experiment is Batagor.
Batagor is actually originated from Tahu (Tofu), which is a fermentation process of soya bean, then combined with other ingredients which is a mixed of a kind of wheat flour and mackerel fish. The first invention from this tofu is actually Baso Tahu or Siomay, which is Tofu with that fish ingredients, steamed until it's cooked.
Later on, that Baso Tahu or Siomay, are fried. So it becomes a Batagor, which is acronym of Baso Tahu Goreng (Fried Baso Tahu). Surprisingly, that kind of food has become very...
