Sanghyang Tikoro (Throat of God)

Bandung tourism seems like never run out of attractions. When you get bored of the hectic life of a city, please try to visit outer Bandung tourism area such as Sanghyang Tikoro.

Actually Sanghyang Tikoro is an underground cavern formed of limestone beneath which there is a torrential stream Citarum. The length of the underground cave was reputedly up to 162 m with a depth of about 1.5 in the dry season.
According to the results of research geologist, Sanghyang Tikoro, Tangkubanparahu Mountain, and Mount Burangrang were formed by the eruption of Mount Sunda. Resulted in fierce eruption destroyed the entire surface of the body leaving no trace. After the eruption, many hot lava came out, which caused rivers in the area of Batujajar, Cililin, and Padalarang buried and turned into a cold lava, that gradually build up and form a lake which was then popularly known as the Talaga Bandung. These lake of Talaga Bandung little by little eventually eroded to form a hole that became known Sanghyang Tikoro.
To reach this place you can go to Padalarang, 30 minutes from Bandung, then to Citatah and Highways Rajamandala to reach a gate marked "Waduk Saguling" (Reservoir Saguling). From here continue to go until you find a guarded checkpoint that you should pass, because it seems that this place is rather closed. Presumably you need a reliable vehicle to get through this winding road. Then you'll find an old nameplate reads "Sanghyang Tikoro".

Jendela Alam (Window of Nature)

This place offers outdoor recreation that can be a means of learning for your kids. There are farms and plantations in mountainous areas which are cool and comfortable. In addition to recognizing various types of animals, on the farm your kids can also perform a variety of fun activities. Activities such as, riding a pony, take the eggs straight from the chicken coop, and see how to milk cows and goats.

Meanwhile in other section of the plantation, along with a guide, you can take your kids picking strawberries, cherry tomatoes and vegetables. Once picked, the crop can be enjoyed immediately. For example, for the strawberries you can take them to the canteen and make some juice.

Caringin TIlu

For those of you who live in Bandung might already be familiar with the sights Caringin Tilu. But for you who haven't heard about it, just follow this direction. From Gasibu square, follow the path of Jalan Suci (a.k.a. PHH Mustofa) toward Terminal Cicaheum. About 100 meters before Cicaheum, or right after Surapati Core on your left, you should find the street name Padasuka. Now turn to it, then go pass Saung Angklung Udjo. Just continue about 3 - 4 miles. If the course already really steep, means that you already close.
Apparently there already stood a cafe named Red Brick Cafe. The food is just average, so yes the typical student, fried rice, fried noodles and instant noodle. In addition to drinks, it also provides a roasted corn and sisha.

But what makes it fun is the view. So cool, especially entering the night. It seems that the entire South and East can be seen from the cafe. Beautiful lights in the city of Bandung from the cafe was very pleasant to see.
