Zoe Corner



Zoe's Corner which located on Jl. Pager Gunung 3, Bandung, is a reading zone, but it has a nice cafe as well. So, people can come here other than to enjoy the food, but also to enjoy the book readings that is provided there. In addition to books that can be read in zone of reading, Zoe Corner naturally also provide books for you to buy that is placed in the area of ​​Zoe Bookstore.

Zoe actually stands for Zone of Entertainment and Education. The concept to be applied is the one stop edutainment. For Zoe's Corner also complements its facilities with Zoe Movie where we can rent movies that are available.

Zoe Bookrent currently collecting more than 40 thousand titles. At the bookstore, there are about 10 thousand titles of books are for sale. For those of you who want to read while lying or sitting, provided a special room on the second floor.

Komunitas Hong (Sundanese Playing Community)


It might surprise you that Sundanese children have hundreds of traditional toys and games. Games that must be played in real life - not virtually like PlayStation. Most of the toys are made of bamboo and some other materials too. While the games mostly played in groups, or at least should be played by two children. You might also wonder why some of the toys has similarity to your toys back home.
This community formally named Komunitas Hong - Pusat Kajian Mainan Rakyat (Center of Folk Toys Research). It was founded on 2003 and has done research on toys and games before it was founded. This community strive to search and reconstruct traditional folks games and toys. They aim is to collect hundreds (maybe thousands) of Indonesian folks toys and games. However, at the moment they still concentrate to search into the Sundaneses first.
Actually this community is based in Subang, north of Bandung. Fortunately, now they have a base here in Bandung that you can visit at most times. Even easier, you can meet this community in Car Free Day Dago area every Sunday morning.
Let’s go back to your childhood and try out some unique traditional toys that surely will get your interest.

Aleut Community! is a non nonprofit community with the members of young people who love more about her hometown history and want to learn more about it in a more pleasing way, by appreciation of history and travel. Aleut itself means go walking hand in hand, which is the main way in appreciating Bandung’s history in a more fun and popular way.
Since its establishment in 2006, Aleut Community! tried to present the history of Bandung in the daily life language. The activities each week is to appreciate the history by means of ‘Come, See, and Learn’, by ngaleut (marching) visiting the historical objects, watching history film, eat out, talk, and appreciate music.
Aleut Community! packs a variety of educational activities, especially relating to history. It is more attractive as an alternative learning media in addition to formal studies.
Common activities performed on a weekly basis by the Aleut Community! always associated with good educational activities through the appreciation of history and travel, movies, and music appreciation, writing, little research, or even to learn to cook together.

Membership in Bandung Trails

There is no ‘membership’ or membership fees in Bandung Trails. By simply joining our mailing list, bters-subscribe@yahoogroups.com you will be updated with information on our Heritage in Togetherness events and be entitled to receiving special rate for the events (see below).
Participation is open to men, women, and children of all nationalities - particularly those who are interested in exploring Bandung and its heritage.

Our activities include:
  • Heritage in Togetherness ; heritage-related programs, mostly heritage walks/tours, which are held 3 - 5 times a year and open to the public. They are non-profit ones and participants pay only for interpreter, meals, entry ticket(s), and other basic costs.
  • Students Go Heritage ; heritage-related programs for groups of students
  • Bandung Walks ; heritage walks / tours for visitors in Bandung
  • I See BTers ; our club consisting of international citizens in Bandung. Activities include talks, walks, cultural programs, etc.
Note: if you are an expat or an international student residing in Bandung, we can give you a free orientation to Bandung and its heritage through a walking tour. Please contact us and we will arrange aa tour for you (minimum 5 persons - all must be based in Bandung).
