Taman Lalu Lintas (Traffic Park)


Taman Lalu Lintas initially was an area that was designated as a tropical area. So no wonder if there are many tropical plants that thrive there. As nowadays there are many green lot area in the city of Bandung which has been converted to buildings filling up the city.

In addition to area designated as green lot, traffic park is also an object of family recreation cheap but still has the educative aspect of the children. Gedung YPK (Cultural Center Building)


The Foundation Cultural Center Building (YPK) is a historic building in the city of Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. This building now serves as a performing arts and cultural performances. This building can also be used for seminars, congresses, meetings, even for a wedding or prom.

This building was built during the colonial Dutch East Indies. This building was formerly functioning as Sosietat (Conference Hall) named Ons Genoegen. Formerly in this building there is a place to play billiards, chess, playing cards, and there is also room to eat and drink while listening to musical entertainment from the band or orchestra that time. At the time of independence movements in the 1930s, national political leaders have also used it to vergadering (meetings) or any political discourse.

Kebun Binatang Bandung (Bandung Zoo)


Bandung Zoo is not far from the campus of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), precisely at Jalan Taman Sari, Bandung, West Java. The zoo was established since 1930 and inaugurated in 1933 by the Dutch.

This Bandung Zoo was originally known as a botanical garden. This park was inaugurated in 1923 to commemorate the Jubilee of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, so named Jubilueumpark. The inscription of Jubiluempark built at the south corner of the triangle park. This inscription can still be seen in the back garden ornamental plant nurseries until the 1950's. Now that the inscription has disappeared somewhere.

The zoo was first known as derenten. The term is derived from Dutch, direntuin (zoo) is often pronounced by the Sundanese. Today, people know it as the Bandung Zoo.

When you get to the zoo, you will be greeted by a group of elephants and several species of birds. Then as you walk further, you will find a collection of various types of snakes. There was also an exotic apes are very attractive especially when they make noises like in the Tarzan movie.

Cimuncang route has a really bumpy road and only off road vehicles who can nailed down this challenge. People usually choose Padasuka route because the road is not as bumpy as the others, even the steep climb is still there waiting for you.

If you’re lucky and come at the right time, the beautiful sunset is up for grabs. Tremendous view of Bandung without being blocked by tall buildings or trees will make your trip even better. Caringin TIlu

For those of you who live in Bandung might already be familiar with the sights Caringin Tilu. But for you who haven't heard about it, just follow this direction. From Gasibu square, follow the path of Jalan Suci (a.k.a. PHH Mustofa) toward Terminal Cicaheum. About 100 meters before Cicaheum, or right after Surapati Core on your left, you should find the street name Padasuka. Now turn to it, then go pass Saung Angklung Udjo. Just continue about 3 - 4 miles. If the course already really steep, means that you already close.
 Apparently there already stood a cafe named Red Brick Cafe. The food is just average, so yes the typical student, fried rice, fried noodles and instant noodle. In addition to drinks, it also provides a roasted corn and sisha.


But what makes it fun is the view. So cool, especially entering the night. It seems that the entire South and East can be seen from the cafe. Beautiful lights in the city of Bandung from the cafe was very pleasant to see.

Adu Domba

This event was held on a regular basis and take place in turns. In the Bandung area alone there are some areas that made the venue for this traditional activity. Among others in the region Arcamanik, Siliwangi, Gegerkalong, and also in West Bandung area around Cimahi.

Saung Angklung Udjo

If you are in Bandung and want to move on to Saung Angklung Udjo, you can use as a means of transportation using angkot that, through certain channels Padasuka, by angkot.


Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) is one–stop cultural workshop, consists of : performance venue, bamboo handicraft centre, and bamboo instrument workshop. Apart from that, SAU has an honorable function as an educational laboratory and training centre to preserve the Sundanese culture – Angklung in particular.

Regular performances at Saung Angklung Udjo starts at 15.30 pm until 17:30 pm. For 2 hours, enjoy the charm of art and culture of Indonesia only in Saung Angklung Udjo!

Dago Car Free Day

Meet the real citizen of Bandung. Just go to the Dago Street (Ir. H. Juanda) on Sunday morning. Just remember not to take your car or motorbike, because it will be a car free day on that street.


For all residents in Bandung this one should be popular. It's a Sunday morning event in Jalan Juanda, start from under the fly over and ended close to the Dipati Ukur intersection, a car-free-day event. Unfortunately, it's not all day long. It's a 6-10 am event. All cars and motorcycles are banned to enter. All the people who walk, ride a bicycle can watch some people do some street performance.

For you fans of art, especially painting and sculpture, visit to the Art Market Taman Sari or now known as Castle Garden Art. Here but can view and purchase works of art, you also presented an artist's hand game attractions make a masterpiece.

Art Castle Gardens is located at Jalan Taman Sari No. 69 Bandung. Its location adjacent to the Zoo of Bandung and Bandung Institute of Technology Campus. In this place there are more than 20 booths displaying various works of painting, sculpture, lanterns and knick-knacks.

SBW program (Sunday Bird Watching) is an umbrella program for the entire work program BICONS. The main menu on this program as a mean to instill the love of the environment and building a critical awareness of Bandung society through environmental education programs.  SBW routinely held every Sunday at 07:00 to 10:00 am at Ganesha Park and other choice locations in the city of Bandung.


BICONS (Bird Conservation Society) is established by group of birders to support bird conservation and its habitat. BICONS was founded in September 24th 1999, based on reality of depression of wildlife existence in urban area. Birds as entry point are applied for any BICONS conservation environmental efforts. BICONS’ vision is “To sensitize people in conservation of bird and its habitat”, demonstrated in programs which focused on research, capacity building, public awareness, supporting conducive policy, and networking development.
